We shot the movie in Serbia, Montenegro, Romania and Prague. It stars Adrien Brody, Rachel Weisz, Mark Ruffalo, Rinko Kikuchi, Robbie Coltrane, Maximillian Schell, a one-legged cat and one drunk camel. In theaters May 15th in New York and LA, and May 29th everywhere.

get ticketsI went to high school in San Clemente with Jorge Garcia, who plays Hurley on Lost. We actually won a talent show competition together doing a Rowan & Martin comedy routine.
Jorge was a year ahead of me, he was a good friend and (to me anyway) the coolest guy in the school. I always looked up to him. And so his very kind post about Bloom over on his Lost blog means quite a lot to me. It’s like getting a thumbs-up from the Fonz.
I’ve also been a Lost devotee from the pilot, and I’m very proud of myself that when we hung out in NY I didn’t ask a single question about anything. (Emilie, on the other hand, I shake upsidown at least once a month.)

I don’t want anyone to get the impression that it’s as good as the Royal Tenenbaums, though, when it was clearly SO MUCH BETTER.

Ladies and gentlemen, THE BROTHERS BLOOM has found its kryptonite in the Christian Science Monitor’s Peter Rainer!

Big thanks to Jeff Goldsmith for a terrific q&a at our screening in Kansas City.
This is one of the very best film shows out there, if you’re not turned onto it yet I’m thrilled to do the turning. This show includes a very thoughtful review by Adam and Matty, plus an interview and a top 5 con men movies.
